My computer is dead!

Just popped into the office to fetch my home computer after the techies here tried unsuccessfully to recover data from my hard drive, which has died.

There is so much on it I don't want to lose - our photos from our trips to Canada and the US, my compositions, my photography... So depressing.

Sorry to hear about the data loss. Have you considered a professional data recovery service? They can recover data from hard drives that have been physically damaged. The only drawback is the expense. The cost/benefit ratio I'll leave to you since you are the only one who knows how much the data really means to you and your family.

Thanks Tim. Truth is, I just cannot afford it right now. I heard the price and just about fainted!

I highly recommend Gillware.com to recover your important data, they were affordable, and I got my data back on DVDs within the week that this same thing happened to me.

Thank you for the tip! Looking at their fees, they are cheaper than similar services here - even though it means shipping to and from the United States!
