If you could travel back in time, which era would you visit and why?
This is at least the third time this question has been asked. Vox running out of ideas?
It was asked on 3 December last year (see here), and on 5 January last year (see here).
So, having answered it twice already, I won't do so this time.
If you're getting one, how are you planning on spending your tax refund?
Don't ask! Mine is several months overdue because SARS rejected the tax return I sent in. My company made an error and sent in the 2006 reconciliation file marked 2007. Although the company tried to repair the error and resent the real 2007 file, it seems SARS has been working off the 2006 file and so has rejected my details on the return. So now they want a new return sent in with all the supporting documentation. A mini-audit, as it were.
What have you lost that you wish you still had?

The time that Flickr was a photo-sharing site. On 9 April, the powers that be at Flickr, or Yahoo, opened the site up to video, thus making a once classy photography site just as trashy as YouTube.
I choose not to be exposed to video on the site. If I wanted video, I would have signed up on YouTube. Videography and photography are two different art forms involving different skills. Furthermore, those of us who are interested in photography are not necessarily interested in someone's pathetic webcam video of themselves pontificating on some topic we don't care about. There is enough of that rubbish on YouTube.
I believe that if Flickr really wants to compete with YouTube, it needs a separate site to do that.
As a result, I am one of the many who are actively protesting against the step. One of my actions is to block anyone with videos on their page. So if you happen to be blocked by me on Flickr, please don't take it personally - it's just that I don't want videos appearing on my contacts page. Just as you now have the right to post videos, I have the right not to see them.
I miss the old Flickr.
Which popular slang expression drives you nuts?
It's an Americanism that is increasingly being used here, and I hate it. No, let me make it clear. I abhor it. The expression is...
My bad.
My bad? What on earth kind of language is that. Certainly not English. In English, a possessive pronoun should be followed by a noun. "Bad" is not a noun. It is an adjective.
If you can say "my bad", then you should also be able to say "my sad", "my happy", and "my annoying". Which it is.
What indulgence always makes your grocery list?
Not always, but very often - dried mango.
Yummy!
Are you planning on doing any spring cleaning this year? If so, please share a cleaning tip you swear by.
Um, it's autumn.... hello.

I don't like being sick. Not at all. And there is nothing ABOUT being sick I like at all.
