I am a Scottish South African, proud of my cultural heritage. I am an erstwhile theology student and love Jesus and theological studies. I post mainly in English but also in Esperanto from time to time.

I grew up in East London and went to university in Grahamstown where I read for a four-year Bachelor of Journalism degree. My two majors were journalism and political studies.

After university, I was conscripted and served a year in the then South African Defence Force. The less said about that the better.

Following that, I embarked on a full-time career in journalism. At present I am the group consulting editor at a media group. I have tried, sadly unsuccessfully, to manage an MTh degree while workling.

I am very happily married and still on honeymoon after seven years. I have a passion for music. I also love baseball (the Jays!) and American football (go Pats!).
